Complete Cricket announce full sponsorship of The Women’s Midlands League 2019 Super 8’s Competition!

Complete Cricket are delighted to announce their sponsorship of The Women’s Midlands League 2019, which provides quality cricket for women’s club teams within the Midlands area.

Recently introduced into women’s club cricket, the Super 8’s competition aims to increase participation in the game, smooth the transition between soft and hard-ball competitions and provide more playing opportunities for club cricketers during the women’s county cricket season. Following a highly successful inaugural season, the competition now expands to encompass 33 teams across a performance and a development league structure, culminating with the Performance League Final as a showpiece event!

Sarah Ginn, Chairperson of The Women’s Midlands League commented: “We’re delighted that Complete Cricket have come on board as our Super 8s Sponsor. It’s a fast-growing competition and so a really exciting time to be involved. With the support we’re receiving from Complete Cricket, we’re looking forward to running this year’s competition bigger and better than before. It’s such a great opportunity to work together to promote the game to more players and prospective players across the region’’.

Complete Cricket provide an extensive range of high-quality coaching to young cricketers – both boys and girls – via academies, schools, clubs, Chance to Shine, All Stars Cricket, national and international cricket tours and private coaching all around the Midlands. Warwickshire Women’s Squad players Isabelle Wong and Bethan Ellis came through the Complete Cricket coaching programme, as well as over 1/3 of all Warwickshire Youth Winter Squads 2019 having been coached by the talented Complete Cricket Team.

Marie Kelly, Head of Women and Girls’ Cricket at Complete Cricket added: ‘This fantastic partnership truly showcases Complete Cricket’s continued commitment to growing the female game at all levels. We are incredibly proud to support The Women’s Midlands League and enable them to provide the resources and opportunities for women and girls’ involvement in cricket in such a fresh and exciting format. It is incredibly rewarding to know that we are supporting over 400 women and girls to play club cricket this year and we look forward to embracing future opportunities that arise from this partnership’.
